2009 F-450 6.4L 4.88 gears. Empty. Never driven over 70 mph. 45 mph brought it up .2 mpg from its overall average of 9.3 mpg. Loaded 4.5 mpg. The snowcat weighs 10,000 lbs. Not sure h...

I don't ever recall challenging you on the 6.4. That must have been someone else.
What I do remember when my cousin used to work on these 6.4 trucks he would be asked by people in town if he would recommend one and he would do his best to talk them out of it.
Fast forward to today and you still see a bunch of 6.0 on the road and very few 6.4 on the road and no Bluetecs on the road today. :B
