I would look at Museums, Zoos, Aquariums, National Parks, Places of Historical Interest, to name a few. When I'm on long trips I will stop in a Library in an area that looks interesting to me to find out more about the area that only the locals know about. I have seen many interesting things that way. I need to find out your route before I can give you specific destinations to go look at.
