Best Inverter Generator under $500 for a TC
I already have a Honda 2000is but I am wanting the best genset under $500 to take the load off the Honda and for a loaner to family and friends... So what's the best bang for the buck? Champion/...

You don't already have batteries? You use the small generator to charge your batteries during the day. Many people in small campers have portable solar. See that all the time. Solar panels are not very expensive.. not sure where you got that idea.
I find it much more pleasant to watch tv or a movie by inverter rather than a generator. Plus you don't have to turn it off during quiet hours.
I don't recall too many posts about people who got solar and wish they hadn't. Once the initial cost is absorbed, and the sun is shining, it's free.
