Best lightweight options for popups travelling with minivan?

Hi all,

Looking for a good quality used pop-up that is very lightweight, and that can be hauled easily by my minivan.
I don't care too much about the age of the popup, but it has to be quality and light enough not to hurt our '04 Odyssey.
My family consists of 3 little kids 5 and under, and us.
We are going to be going to a hot, tropical clime for 3 months and living in it for a few days a week.
i have looked into other RVs, but this seems to be the best fit for us, and the most economical.
Brand new to this aspect, and any good advice is appreciated.
Thanks!

Bob

  • While I'm not gonna comment on a brand specifically, I will make some suggestions on things that you will need.

The bunk ends will get hot, so you will need to get some PUG's (pop up gizmos). The are a reflective material that fits over the bunk ends to reflect sunlight. PUGS

You will also need some Reflectix to go inside of the bunk end windows and possibly under the bunk mattresses if you will be parking on a concrete or asphalt surface Reflectix

** Spend some time on You-Tube regarding these products **

    A robust air conditioner

At a minimum 2 small fans to blow cold air into the bunk ends

    Possibly a dehumidifier
