Best LIGHTWEIGHT trailers...... GO!

Best lightweight travel trailer, is the one with a floor plan that fits your wants and needs. As far as who built it, really doesn't matter. They are all pretty much the same. If you've got a good tool box, know how to use the tools that are in it, and have a good dealer for support, the folks who built the trailer are irrelevant.

The key to their longevity is how they are used and maintained. When these things get dragged down our bad roads, at 60+ MPH, things will come apart on all of them.

Most of the interior systems (entertainment, stove, refrigerator, A/C unit, furnace, water pump, etc) are made by one or two subcontractors, and are common to many different brands of RV's.

What is the GVWR and payload of your truck? What are you...looking...to carry in the truck when towing? In pounds.

Best is highly subjective. OP tell us what best means to you otherwise we'll just spout off brans we know or like.

To start with there are a dozen things you can do to make your TV run faster, pull more, ride smoother, etc. However, there is nothing you can do increase the axle ratings or strengthen the frame. Upgrading to a bigger TV is the way to pull a bigger load.

The best trailer is like the best tow vehicle, it depends on how you camp and what you expect it to do.

No mod to your truck will ever change the tow rating or the GVWR.
