You are correct for protecting a trailer, Rock Tamers sit back far enough to catch rocks that get thrown from the lower tire portions. My darn exhaust goes out towards the rear in the corner and I'm affraid of melting them or a fire. Why the factory exhaust doesn't side exit baffles me.
