I am thinking that going back to the stock TRD muffler may be a good move. I will have to buy them since I don't have the originals. I would like to avoid dealer prices.
How big of a difference does running them out the side vs the back make? One poster above said that could be an issue. Mine are currently run out the back. That may be some or a lot of the problem, but I don't know.
It is significantly louder when towing. I assumed that was because of running at higher RPMs when cruising (especially when in lower gears) but maybe it is a function of them being run out the back.
