Best oxidation remover?

Good day to all -

What is the best oxidation remover for laminated fiberglass on T.T. out there with out breaking the bank and breaking my shoulder?

Thank you to all in advance :h

Try using your elbow, as in elbow grease.
I already tried that!! did not work.:B
  • I use Jasco Prepaint Conditioner at 50% dilution in a tank sprayer. Clean surface, apply Jasco, lightly swirl it with a brush on handle, reapply Jasco, and rinse.
This solution will work on painted surfaces, also.
  • I just use McGuires 'cleaner' wax. Been using it for years on my RV.
ONE step, put on, rub off, and watch it shine.

See the top? That's the oxidized part I couldn't reach without dragging my ladder out. Below is the shine from one application of wax.

It's not rocket science and IMHO I would NOT use any of those ruby reds clear coat treatments or whatever they call it treatments on your RV. There have been 'numerous' reports of what happens when they start to wear off in patches and all what you have to do to get the darn stuff off.

Did the top part at the next CG stop when I felt more like taking the ladder down off the back of the MH. :W

  • I just got this in but have not tried it yet. This was recommended by my RV manufacturer.

  • acetone... go slow and NOT ON PAINT. and be careful around plastic.

did my Coachmen Cascade last year. about 2 gallons... lots of old T shirts. then wax.

Walmart paint department. and YES elbow grease.. and more elbow grease.
and my trailer is a 2005 and never cleaned or washed.. not bad but looked weathered. and LOTS of black streaks from bent gutters..
    and the Cascade is WHITE....

used a power buffer for the wax... wax on... wax off... Looks real good now.
  • `without breaking the bank and my shoulder' is an oxymoron. You can do it yourself (cheaper) and find out the RV grows larger the longer you polish it and/or hire someone else to save your shoulder (bank breaker). With health costs the way they are maybe hiring someone would actually be cheaper in the long run.
  • Try using transmission fluid. You will have to do it every 3 to 4 months. Nothing will stick to it. Easiest way i can tell you.
  • Mequires Ultimate Compound and then nufinsh polish
Or you can use this stuff too I have done both
wash your trailer with awesome(this will make it easier to deoxidation)
meguiars power cut compound #M91(for deoxidation)(orange pad)
nu-finsh(white pad)after the first app I put a second one on 2-3 week after
I use a portal cable DA polisher with lake country pads
my trailer will shine for about a year
