Did you verify its a 4R100? 2001 model years vans were built with both the 4R75 and 4r100 behind the 5.4L. Also, before ordering you'll want to verify the transmission ID tag, which should be visible if you pull the doghouse. There were some slight variations of both transmissions.
I'm not sure I'd recommend a jasper. There's been some reports the last few years, on this forum, that maybe their quality has slipped.
Wow, thank you for the Rock Auto recommendation. I've used them for a long time for replacement parts but I didn't realize they sold complete reman assemblies.
I'll have to double check the transmission model. I was pretty sure It's a 4R100, but since it's behind a 5.4L it could be 4R70W. Either way the prices are great on RockAuto.
also, thanks for the info on Jasper. I haven't been too active on the forums for a while and wasn't aware there have been issues.

Wherever you purchase it from, have the VIN number handy, and use that to order. It's the best way to get the exact assembly you need. Things sometimes change mid-run, and you don't want any surprises.
