Best Surge protector
Looking for a 30 amp surge protector and don't know much about them. Camping World has some on sale ,but the reviews are'nt very good. Looking for suggestions. Thank you

I’ve had my TRC 30 AMP portable SG for over 9 seasons and one trip under the 10th. I too had to open mine up about 5 or 6 years ago when the plug melted from a bad CG outlet. It is not the easiest to get apart due to all the silicone they use but once opened up is serviceable. When the plug burned up I called to see if they offer reconditioning but they do not. Seems crazy they will not offer to make minor repairs to their units. After the burnt plug I made a short 5 foot cord to plug in first. The short cord is also nice for pedestals where the SG touches the ground if plugged directly in. When this one finally goes I will buy the portable Progressive unit (and mount it inside) since they have much better CS reviews.
