Like all modern v-6 engines w/o turbos, it needs revs to produce HP. I looked up the specs: 271 TQ at 4800 rpm, which equates to 248 HP at 4800. As long as you are comfortable with winding the engine up, it will have plenty of horsepower to pull your trailer up steep grades.
