What, no one has yet suggested a used Ford Excursion Diesel? ;)
I have towed over 100,000 miles with my '08 Highlander V6. Both a 16' TT and a 6x12 cargo trailer (the latter at 3500 to 4000 lbs loaded). It has been the most dependable and low-repair vehicle I've ever owned.
