Unfortunately, all of the posts so far are incorrect. My setup is the best. Very affordable truck, 1996 that does not cost $1200 per month payments plus insurance. My TC definitely did/does not cost $40,000 to $50,000. My truck is not buried with smog devices, and relatively inexpensive to have worked on. However, my rig is not for sale.
My suggestion is to read post on different truck forums to help with your education on trucks. Look at those things you would not like. Each manufacture has their own ideas, be it a truck or TC. Personally, I am a diesel fan, but doubt I would buy a new diesel. In my opinion, they have become to burdened and complicated with smog equipment.
In selecting a TC, from what I have observed there is no best. I suggest you identify the features you want, an identify a couple of brands that has those features. Do a search on RV.NET on those brands. If you ask which is best, I doubt many would not say their own. My belief is that most people will defend what they have, so it would be difficult asking which is best. If you ask specific questions such as why someone thinks they have the best or what do they not like about their TC, the response could have value. I would be more interested in who made the worst TC, who had the Worst customer support. I would also ask why.
