I bought the EB to allow us to buy a larger TT or light FW. I towed a 26' (28.5' bumper to hitch) 5500# dry weight for a year with the EB with no problems. Solid as a rock. Then we went bigger.
I agree with finding the TT of FW you want and buy the TV that will work with it.
