Best way to deal with 50A cable with a TT

Having now upgraded to a TT with 50A service, I'm stuck for a easy way to deal with the cable. Right now I coil it into a plastic tote and leave it just inside the door (the pass though is full), but I imagine that there has to be an easier way.

Anyone have any creative suggestions?
  • Yep, it's detached, and no, there's no real room in the passthrough and nothing of consequence that can be removed. It's mostly essentials; stuff to connect water/sewer/electric, our grill, fire pit, kids scooters, leveling blocks, tools, etc. Nothing terribly extraneous.
  • Toss mine in bed of truck. Loosely coiled. Not putting effort into it.

If I'm not on the road, mine is plugged in.
  • I've been coiling mine in a five gallon bucket for the last 6 years. Less room than a tote easy to carry often find other uses for the bucket while not storing the cable.

If not that would be my first mod. Change it to one that is detachable.

Well it must be if the OP stores it in a tote inside the TT...

If it were me I'd re-evaluate what is kept in the pass through. I'd bet some of that will fit inside the TT.

I would re-evaluate the evaluation and off load some of that not needed items.

We FTd for 7 yrs and I was always amazed at the stuff weekenders/vacationers piled into their RVs.
They would start unload and unloading and unloading .like a circus clown car it just never ended

As for that anaconda cord...mine went into a 5 gallon and then into the back of truck bed.

  • Agree they are a pain our new camper last year was our first with the 50 amp cord. I coil mine into a zippered duffel bag and throw it on top of counter in outside kitchen. I tried making a box on top of the rear bumper but cord can not be folded into a 6 inch wide space and I did not want box sticking out past the bumper. Hopefully somebody with more experience will have a solution I will be watching for replies also
