Bigfoot 2005 9.6 2500

Looking at purchasing a used basement model 9.6 foot Bigfoot for my 2500 GM diesel short box equipped with airbags. Your input positive and negative would be appreciated. Wondering if there would be any handling issues.

I don't have the specs handy but I think the 9.6 is heavier than the 9.4. Seems to me the 9.6 comes in around 3300 with a few options. AC etc. Don't forget water, groceries and stuff. I would count on 4100 pounds. It would be tight on many 2500's. I'll check my literature when I have a minute but am getting on a plane tomorrow for spain. It might be on their website though. Remember, those weights are of units with no options.

Good luck on the hunt for a camper. Bigfoot is a great way to go though.

    Happy camping.

  • Hello

In my experience it will be overweight on many 2500 series trucks but I don't know your GVWR or truck net weight.

Bigfoot makes an excellent camper that holds its value well. The factory is 10 minutes from my house. Very good operation.

Bigfoot is an amazing truck camper - and also an amazingly heavy camper. In my experience they are simple, rugged, and a quality build. They also hold their value - I was at an RV show a few weeks ago and the current generation Bigfoots are pretty similar to what you would have bought 10 years ago.
