Bigfoot 30c10.11 SL Sag & Slideout Gap

Hi All -

First post here.

I am the new-to-me owner of a 2003 Bigfoot 30c10.11 SL camper. When the slideout closes, it leaves a 1" gap at the top/rear of the slide, where I think water could get in. The issue appears to be at least partially a result of the fact that the back of the camper sags down about 1" when the camper is on my truck. I don't see any evidence of dry rot or other water intrusion. Looks like a design issue: just too much weight back there.

For a short-term fix, I'm adding a slide-topper. Was also considering slide-locks to help close the gap at the top so at least it seals.

Anyone else have this issue with either the slideout not closing all the way or the camper sagging in the back? Any more long-term fixes? Steel reinforcement of the frame somehow?

Thanks!
