wow ok thanks for the info 54suds! I saw the same year/model camper as mine at a gas station the other day and his slide was hanging out like 4+ inches at the top, made mine look like no big deal. I want to stop it from getting like that.
The last repair you mentioned: adding a beam from the front to rear along the basement, sounds like a possible DIY repair. Drop the undercarriage and bold a steel beam down the length of the camper. Next time it;s off the tuck I'll get under there and see what my access looks like.

i took it into an RV repair place this week (Apache Camping Center in Portland, OR) after waiting over a month for the appointment and they just said sorry, nothing we can do about it.
