Bigfoot Truck Camper & 2006 Dodge fuel filler cap

Hi gang,

We have decided to buy a new Bigfoot 10.4 truck camper and just picked up a quad cab 2006 Dodge dually to haul the camper.

I was told by a local RV place that I may have problems with the location of the driver's side tiedown covering the filler cap door.

Just wondering if anyone has experience this?

Thanks
Jim

What Buzz said, a couple seconds on either end of fueling.

  • Our Fastgun covers the fuel filler door as well but it will open enough to get the fuel hose in. I put a rag between the door and the fastgun to prevent scratching and we are good to go. I use to unhook the fastgun and that is a no brainer as well. I would not worry.
  • Congratulations on your new 10.4! The fuel door on my Ford is blocked by the drivers side Fastgun. Easy to remove when fueling up or topping off DEF.

  • Idk, but worst case you could take the door off if that would allow you to access it.
