I originally wanted to get a 8' camper that would stop at the end of the bed (actually I wanted a popup, but the wife nixed that one). I'm not interested in towing or carrying around a hotel room, so...

Bigfoot makes a 9.4 long bed, it might be to heavy for your plans, but a front bath is nicer. It gives you a ton more visibility from the dinette with windows all around. An Arctic Fox 865 long bed model might make your length requirements but it will be heavy.
We didn't want a slide and we really liked the Northern Lite or Bigfoot concept with a two piece shell. We just couldn't find one locally at the right price.
