My truck can handle 4400# and 12,700# and 2970# max camper. It weighs 8000# with 2 people, 2 dogs, and associated gear. I figure the camper needs to weigh 2500# dry so adding 500# would be at 3000#. That would be only 1700# left for a trailer though. I was looking at 1500 series and they were only 500# lighter. Even if I went with the 1500 and transported dry, that's 10,000# leaving 2700#. I see SRW hauling Lance/AF slide campers and 2 horse trailers all the time. I guess the door sticker is regularly ignored.
