- stevemorrisExplorersorry, but i have to ask!
why would somebody who wants to go rv'ing buy a honda ridgeline? and then start looking at the biggest thing it can tow?
Find the trailer first, then look at vehicles big enough to tow what you want in a trailer - afidelExplorer IIMy trailer sleeps 5-6 depending on size, 4 very comfortable. It's 3,040 dry with a 3,600 GVWR. It's an 18' box with a large dinette slide. KZ-181BH, most manufacturers have a similar layout. However if you're going to take the family along it's probably too much for a Ridgeline, it maxed out my 1,700lb payload 1500 when packed to the max and with 5 of us in the cab.

I've got a Forest River Rockwood Mini Lite 2511S and it's awesome! But, a bit too much for a Honda... :)
Good luck!
Mitch - camp-n-familyExplorerBiggest size for the least weight would be a hybrid.
- 3_dog_nightsExplorerRomore - he wants hard sides and a slide if he can find it.
- LwiddisExplorer IIWinnebago’s 1808FBS has a twenty foot box and weighs 3560 pounds dry. Loaded and wet your friend would be 5000 pounds...the Ridgeline’s max.
Your friend “goofed.” Buy or select the trailer first and then match a tow vehicle to it. - Yosemite_Sam1ExplorerLook at Coleman 17FQ series rated at 3,211 lbs dry.
It sleeps 7 and have excellent features inside. - romoreExplorer IIWhat is he/she looking for? A pop up would give the most choices, hardside will limit size and amenities.
