Bilstein Shocks?

5100's for 0-2" lift. 4600's for stock same shock different color.

I'm getting ready to buy a set of shocks for my F250 and haven't decided on what I'm going to buy.

Has anybody else had both Bilstein and KYB shocks that could tell me which ones they like the best.

Has anybody had both Bilstein 5100 and 4600 shocks that could tell me which ones they like the best or are they the same except for different lengths. They have one 5100 models that are for 0"-2" over stock ride height.

Here's an interesting tidbit on Bil 5100's. I use them on the back of the Frontier, and I recco them. They come with a lifetime warranty. I could not source them locally so I bought them mail order.

One of them failed and spilled all it's oil past a blown seal. I contacted the online retailer and they said I would have to go thru Bilstein. I contacted Bilstein, and they said I would have to go thru the retailer.

Classic example of pointing fingers.

They are a good enough shock that I just went ahead and bit the bullet and bought another one to replace the bad one.

So at least in my case, their warranty wasn't worth the paper it's written on.

I'm going to try a set of KYB's next go 'round.

Try 4 Wheel Parts, they were the lowest in 2016 when I was searching.

I bought a set of Bilsteins for my Ram from Geno's last October.

I just bought a set of Blisteins for a 2003 ZR2 this Fall. They were the 4600's. I got them from Shockwarehouse.com

Believe it or not the best price I've found so far is on Amazon.
