Bilstein Shocks?

Hi,
I asked this question a couple years ago about which Bilstein shocks I should get for my 2500HD. We use our truck pretty much exclusively for towing. Ideas?

Thanks,
  • I've got the 5100's for my F150.. Love 'em! :)

So far, they have a bit firmer ride, but when going over bumps and pot holes and speed bumps and the like, it's far smoother then the OEM shocks where when they were brand new and going over those same things.

Yet, it's still a smoother ride overall.. Can't explain it.. It just seems smoother overall, yet firmer... I know that makes no sense..

It just seems to soak up the bumps better now. That's the only way I an explain it..

    Good luck!

  • The standard yellow ones have done a great job on my HD truck. They take a lot of the sharpness out of hitting expansion joints and the like. They also have a lot more rebound control than any stock shock I have experienced. Makes for nicer towing because it alleviates bounce with a heavy trailer on the back.
