Bug proof clothing, if you have power, a cage fan blowing through your camp area at night does wonders as the little buggers don't like wind. Camp in their off season. Around my area, Deep Woods OFF has worked well enough. At night, the Fantastic Fan does a nice job of sucking bugs up and blowing them outside. I hope drinking beer doesn't attract them.
