This is one of those products that the RV aftermarket/accessory industry has convinced many they MUST have.
It is virtually pouring good money right down the toilet.
The RV Toilet paper is another.
I have never needed to buy either. Though I did do an experiment. A jug of the stuff came with my traieler as part of the Dealers package.
After using nothing for about two months....and having no smell whatsoever...I tried the chemicals...The awful chemical smell did actually come through but only when the toilet was opened for flushing. But it lingered.
I never have this problem with the biodegradable "Matter" that is normally stored in that tank.
And there was absolutely no difference in dumping my tanks with or without the chemical as I deal with them as they are supposed to be and let them fill before dumping.
