X2 on #5. Use the block function as you don't need advice from self righteous trolls.
I flush with the wand until the water is no longer brown.
To answer your question, here is what I do. After flushing the tank, I dump in a gallon of water, then put a dose of the blue liquid in. Then I wash it down with another gallon of water. Blue liquid is found at places like Walmart. I do the same for the gray tank while storing.
