We don't have extreme freezing here in the Northern Neck of Virginia. I think it only got down to freezing one time last year and was all warmed up into the 50's-60's the next day....
We do alot of camping off the power grid and might get caught in a quick freeze up in the highlands around here. Since my trailers are parked here in my back yard they are used anytime we get the urge.
Using the BLOW OUT method works best for us to blow out the lines and add some pink stuff to the P-Traps and allows us to continue on the next day with just adding water back into the tanks...
I use a 12VDc TANKLESS portable air compressor with a city water adapter which works great on my OFF-ROAD POPUP water lines. Being TANKLESS the portable compressor slowly builds up air pressure giving me time to walk around and bleed off the spigots..![]()

I carry my 12VDC portable air compressor bag under the rear seat of my truck.

Great idea, I'm going to start carrying the 12 V compressor with me for on-the-fly drainage.
I also use the pink stuff in the traps, I just don't want to add it to the fresh water lines again.
