I mean no disrespect but if you leave enough water in a low piont to burst the pex tubing, you have not done a very good job of blowing out the lines. I am with the group that dislikes the pink stuff. I have used air for the past 35 years and prefer it over antifreze.

The pink stuff works, none of us who like the air blow-out method disagree on that, but I just don't like the stuff.
A little bit of water in a pipe will usually spread along the length of the pipe a little bit as it freezes. It is valves and elbows that tend to break a little bit easier with freezing water.
