If the specs say the tongue weight is around 950lbs then I would suspect that your actual tongue weight when you are ready to camp will be at least 1200lbs or maybe more. You need to take the trailer to a scale and fine out just what it is. You will probably be quite surprised. I think your Blue Ox salesman was probably right about on the money with his recommendation of 1500lb bars. The scales will tell you what kind of weight distribution you are getting.
You might try using a little less/more pressure on the bars and see if that helps. Also, you may just be feeling the normal wiggle that everyone gets when a gust of wind hits, or a passing truck goes by, or an uneven road surface.
