I don't understand why someone who invests tens of thousands of dollars on a recreational vehicle will go "el-cheapo" on a 'required' safety component. Similar to tires, you get what you pay for. A premium hitch may cost a few $$$ upfront. But the peace of mind and elimination of 'towing stress' on travel days is more than enough reason for me. My Hensley already saved my rig once on our Fort Wilderness trip last summer. A road hazard (blown tire) was ran over and thrown in my lane at highway speeds. I had split second to react as I didn't know what it was. Swerved right to avoid the moving object at 65 mph. The trailer followed inline as I corrected my path of travel 3 times. It all happened within 3 seconds. With ANY OTHER hitch, I would have lost control of my trailer and we would have had a catastrophic event.
Best $2000 I ever spent in the RV world was on my Hensley.
