Some of RVers don't ever want to invest in anything larger than a travel trailer. There is no desire to move into a taller, heavier coach. If they choose to move a longer pull behind, why not spend a few dollars up front for the sake of safety and towing gratification. The engineering has been here for several decades. It works and offers a clear advantage over anything else on the market.
Who knows going into the sale of a new RV how it will tow? Last time I checked, a dealer AINT going to let you try it out first. It's not until you hit your first wind storm that you realize, "hitch balls suck!"
