We went from a 28', 32', and 31' 5th wheel back to a 32.5' travel trailer. I like the way the 5th wheel towed on the interstates but other than that, I much prefer a travel trailer.
Nothing wrong with the Hensley. It works.
We towed our 32.5' TT with a Reese HP with no sway control for just over a year at maybe 8k miles. Tows like a champ with a little waggle from passing trucks if there was a crosswind. On one trip out I-10, it got tiring as we had a strong crosswind and never ending trucks passing. Nothing scary or dangerous, just constant minor steering corrections. The Equalizer stopped all of it entirely.
What puzzles me is the inference that the BO is one step below the Hensley. The BO favors center like a pendulum. Fine and dandy but pendulums can swing. Short of a Hensley, a friction type sway control like the Reese DC or Equalizer 4 Pt are going to be your best bet. No doubt the Hensley works, but I don't want or need a hitch that expensive, heavy or cumbersome to hitch up when the Equalizer does all I need it to do even with a little grease on the L brackets to keep it smooth and quiet.
