Blue Ox Sway Pro Opinions?

Hey guys,
I found a used Blue Ox Swaypro setup for about 1/2 the price of new, it's an older style that doesn't have the round snap up brackets that rotate but the more traditional ones, not sure how much that makes a difference in terms of performance etc, opinions?

Here's another picture of the setup, identical to the one I'm getting from what I can see:

That's exactly the hitch that I bought (used) when I bought my TT (used). Works well for me, no complaints.
  • Thats the hitch I have. Works very well. I've found Blue Ox easy to communicate with if you have any questions. Good luck.

Not familiar with that model but it sounds like it may be a conventional WD hitch, like the old E-Z Lift I currently use. With this type, folks often use the add-on friction sway control. Post a pic or link to the hitch and we can give more info.

It's the blue ox sway pro just the version before they went to the rotation based snap ups. Here's a link to the same one I'm looking at used, you can see the picture of it:

I have a new Blue Ox, sway pro and it does excellent. Clean and easy to install and use and not as noisy as the friction type. Very smooth ride.

(Sorry, just read again and saw you stated it was not the new type) SO, I guess I dont have experience for what you are asking about

LOL that's ok I appreciate any input to the blue ox, I'm not really sure what the big difference would be from the old to the new other than the way the snap up brackets work...
