However, I'm going to take a stab in the dark here and say because he's the Director of the RAM Division, he might be privy to some data on sales numbers.
Yes, Polk is one company that has registration data. There are several companies that also obtain sales and registration data.
So my expectation of any management claims is to identify the source of data. Without source, you do not know how they are obtaining/calculating the ranking.
