We had this come up a while ago and a number of people posted about it. Like others I have the TC stocked, vehicles usually gassed up, extra gas on hand.
I would not necessarily leave my house, unless something caused the area to be in danger, but I could live in the tcer in the driveway should something happen. A lot easier to heat a small space than a large space and with 12v power and the generator I would have many days of light and heat. Also should we loose power and natural gas the propane on the barbeque and the tcer would allow me to eat hot meals for a long time.
So much depends on the emergency. Last year we had a lot of flooding around us and we were safer to stay at home and ride it out as we were out of the worst of the flooding. But if that would have been our community that took the major hit I would have been on the road in minutes with the tcer. Likewise ice storms and snow storms, better to stay home. But if something caused the house to be in danger I would be on the road in minutes with the tcer to a safer area.
