I lived through the Northridge Earthquake in '94 and yes my RV is part of my plan. I can't count on my house to still be upright after a very strong earthquake. I have water, food and fuel for my generator as I plan to be without power at least 3 days. Propane stove or grill is a must for me for cooking. It's a******shoot if the food in your refridgerator will spill out onto the floor or be lucky like I was in '94 that not one egg broke as my stove pulled out of the wall and blocked the refridgerator. I plan on using my pool water to flush my toilet before I use potable water for that.
I stock plenty of my off the shelf medication in a seperate area just in case I can't re enter my home. I try to keep my cars with at least 1/2 a tank of gas,but DH doesn't he loves to run them dry. Another thing to think about in case of earthquake is keep a set of car keys in a location where you have access. All the contents of my cupboards spilled out onto by counter covering my keys. Luckily my boyfriend at the time had an extra set of my keys. May I never have to use my emergency kit again!
