We live on Long Island ajacent to NYC. Bugging out by vehicle entails driving through the city and over bottle neck bridges or tunnels. Given the population concentration its not practicle. But the TC has come in handuy during both winter and summer storms. The LP genny provides backup power, which has come in handy numerous times. also, though so far not needed, 45 gallons of fresh water. Hurricane Sandy put the bay water halfway up my driveway. We were close to utilizing the TC as emergency housing. Another 18"s of tidal surge and my house would have been down for the count.
I keep 6 extra filled LP tanks. It is filled with water in the non freezing months. It definitly has a role in my disaster senerios.
