Brake Lines Blown While Towing with Toyota Tundra!!!!

Yesterday while towing my travel trailer with my wife and 4 month old baby in the truck my brake line blew. I had next to zero braking power. The truck was a 2012 Tundra with 29k miles.

We are lucky to be alive but i am pretty pissed. This happened 6 hours from home. I got the truck towed, then had to get the trailer towed to the nearest campground.

The toyota dealership it was towed to gave me a loaner but its a car. The truck wont be fixed until next week. I am going to have to drive home in the loaner and then drive back here next week to get the trailer and truck and pay for the campground fees while my camper sits here.

To make matters worse, the campground we went to closes for the season before i can come back down here so i had to have the trailer towed to another campground today.

I bought a toyota so that i would have a reliable truck so this sort of thing wouldnt happen. This has cost me a lot of time and money and inconvenience, ruined a trip, and most importantly it endangered my family.

Thoughts on how i should approach this with toyota or am i just screwed but lucky to be alive

Thanks. Matt
