Luckily no one was hurt. While not my choice for a tow vehicle Toyota has a stellar reputation for reliability. Unfortunately there is no magic bullet and all mechanical things break.
The worse nightmare for those of us that tow is breaking down away from home. Nevertheless it's bound to happen to a few of us at some point.
While I'm sure your upset these things do happen. You won't be the first or last to have your camper towed and suffer through the logistical nightmare of getting your rig back home.
Report back to us if the dealer found a reason for the brake line failing. A 2012 should not have a rusted brake line so hopefully they will be able to pinpoint the failure. Good Luck but don't despair a failed brake line could have been a whole lot worse.
