Brakes 2500HD 2007
Time to do the brakes. I am looking for some suggestion's on heavy duty brakes, now that I am towing 9500 lb. I don't want to just put standard brakes, unless I learn that standard HD breaks are fine....

Inspect your brake lines while you're at it. This summer I had a line rupture just in front of the ABS block. Upon inspection I found several places on all the lines with excessive flaky rust. I ended up putting a complete line kit on the truck. For some reason it seems GM used poor quality metal in these brake lines and my truck is not the first I've known of that ruptured a line.
Same here - 2004 Silverado 2500HD. Replaced brake and fuel lines last year. Rusted. Luckily the brake line busted in the driveway. And right at the ABS block too. Well documented issue with us 2500HD owners of that time frame (2003-2007).
