But if they are not going to step up here, I understand the need for a buyer to inspect things, but the dealer also has a responsibility here. Where was their inspection prior to delivery to ensure a sound unit?
Anyway I know the situation is a bummer but there is so much wrong here that I can't see them doing anything other than replacing this or refunding your money.

I put the culpability on this fiasco directly on the manufacturer. If they build garbage like this, then they need to make it right with the purchaser and the seller.
