Yeah, I can see me using a Peterbilt(whom I work for) 379 on my 41 mile one way daily commute and to haul my cattle trailer, flat bed, tractor, and RV.
I know people that take a single screw day cab and turn them into a RV toter. Lots of day cabs with M11's and DD 13's for sale cheap and lots have Eaton select shift auto's.
I considered one myself for my tandem axle gooseneck and if I used it more, I probably would.
Would I do it with a Pete? Not really. Freightliner, certainly.
Why twist the biscuit on a pickup truck when you can drive some real iron around and not have to build the engine and trans and delete anything. Common sense tells me to upsize instead.
