I don't know about aliner specifically, but I have seen other smaller campers running "window unit" air conditioners all boxed up in a cabinet, which is NOT following the AC manufacturers guidelines on installation of the unit.
Window AC's need to have ventilation intakes on the sides of the unit, and all camper manufacturers I have seen using window ACs have them sealed up tight in a cabinet or wall cavity. This is a recipe for overheating and burning out the unit. They SHOULD be using "wall AC" units, which are designed to vent in and out through the rear of the unit, not sides of the unit.
If I were you, I would look for a similar sized "wall unit" not "window unit", it should give you a lot longer service life.
EDIT: It wasn't a HUGE factor, but the mis-use of window ACs was part of the reason we chose the camper we did (it has a proper RV Roof AC unit).
