2014 F150 Supercrew ecoboost 3.5 v6 Max Tow I really can't say enough about this truck. I traded 2010 crew 1500 chevy there is no comparison. TT is a 2013 Shadow cruiser 314 tsb 6650lb dry. I know I know that doesn't matter BUT.......I couldn't even really tell I was pulling it. the eco, max tow is the best TV I've ever driven. The rv dealer included the reese hitch I have no complaints other than at about 65mph I had the occasional slight sway(It was Very windy). I'm including some pic's if anybody has any tips on the hitch I'd appreciate it

Yeah that hitch head should be titled away from the truck not towards it. And 800 lbs. bars are not going to do the job. As downtheroad noted your tongue/hitch weight is going to be much greater than 700 lbs. with a TT of that size and with 3 slides.

Our Jayco Eagle is of similar length and probably weight and the tongue weight is around 1200-1250 lbs.

The hitch ball needs to be tilted slightly away from the rear of the truck, yours is the opposite.

I think one friction sway control is just fine, it just needs to be properly set up. Many manufacturers have good set up videos on their websites.

On that note, there are also some very good videos available on how to properly set up a WD hitch.

I towed this set up (33' TT that weighed about 9000#) for years with a single friction sway control with a WD hitch and had no issues.

I can assure you that the 800 lb bars the dealer gave you are not adequate for that trailer...You have a gross weight of around 9400 lbs.
That gives you approx. 1200+ lbs of tongue weight at 13%..

You probably won't load to the max. of 9400 but you could easily be around 8000+ trip ready...that is approx 1050 lbs of tongue weight...so, I'd insist on 1200 lb. bars..

Ask about switching out to a 1200 lb. Reese Dual Cam or an Equil-i-zer brand hitch set up.

I too would dump the friction bar and add the dual cam to your Reese hitch. The difference in performance of the dual cam system is amazing.

we have similar trucks.... i found the friction system wasn't the best solution.... Hensely hitch I went... very worth it!

Love that trailer....

Keep the hitch but dump the friction sway bar which is inadequate for that length of trailer. You can get a kit to upgrade your current hitch to a dual cam.

Looks nice! Any Photos of the inside of trailer. Just curious as to layout. I have a large bunkhouse with two slides. Your looks pretty slick!

Also, what size bars do you have? From what I know, Reese only makes 800 or 1200# bars for that hitch. I would think for that size trailer you would need the 1200#.

With those bars it wouldn't take much to add the dual cam system. I really like mine, but when I used a 1/2 ton and was pushing it's suspension limits I had to readjust it every time I hooked up. With my van I set the system up once and it's been perfect every time I have hooked up so far.

I just looked they are 800lb bars the hitch was used dealer took in on trade I'm calling him Monday dry hitch is like 700lbs I'm kinda ticked off now he better replace. and the hitch head is angled the to is closer to the tv than the bottom. is this wrong? im getting mad now id this hitch not right?

Nice trailer and tow vehicle, you'll have many great camping experiences!

You mentioned 65 mph so remember that's the upper limit for your trailer tires. You may want to keep it around 60mph to help avoid blowouts.
