Ow, sorry about your buddy's truck. He is right to be concerned, and of course the vehicle warranty does not cover misfueling, that needs to be put at the feet of the fuel vendor and their insurance company, which is surely aware of the costs of such incidents on vehicles of that make and vintage. He clearly needs to document everything, starting with his fuel purchase receipt as well as what he gets told by everybody along the trail
