This is not that big of a deal-
Everything gets drained and the system gets purged of gasoline and replaced with diesel- You are back on the road again. If the fuel pump or other problem pops up later you have a record of the issue and that gets replaced on their dime...
Also- this guy can't be the only person that had this problem, the station will have a record of someone delivering the wrong fuel to the wrong tank... The station is not the one covering these issues- its the refiner or delivery company- whomever put the fuel in the wrong tank.
You guys are making a mountain out of a mole hill. While not an all of the time event it happens regularly enough that it is an insured for event.
