I learned more than wanted to know about the Bosch CP4 pump in that long thread,
but knowing what now know...it doesn't take much to mess up that pump...think it
will self destruct all by itself over time WITHOUT contamination
The extreme pressure on the cam and follower is bad enough using just diesel as
the ONLY lube...toss in a lesser lube like gasoline only makes it worse with a
large potential of failure down the road
Sadly...GDICI might have a CP4 or like pump and hope they don't use
Bosch as their source
but knowing what now know...it doesn't take much to mess up that pump...think it
