Its only opinion but I'd seriously consider the CRW. While our SRW is solid, its not as solid as it was with a shorter, lighter trailer. We're under 12k. While I've not towed this trailer with a DRW, I'd towed others and the difference is quite noticeable.
Brand, trim doesn't matter much. Diesel, yes if you can afford to do so. Otherwise the Ford 7.3 or RAM 6.4 with the highest gearing available will get you from A to B.
