Suggest:
- check with RV site owner and ask about local laws and design limitations. Some allow solid roof structures and some don't. And, some only allow maximum size - based on their RV rules.
- Ask many construction folks to visit site and provide quotes (material and labor). They will give you lots of ideas of roof slop, span distance limitations, railing ideas, location of stairs, number of steps to ground, etc. etc.
- If you can, visit others who have solid awnings / roofs and ask for their lessons learned. re: Would they create more roof slop next time, would they create more floor to under side roof height next time, would they have different stair location, etc. etc.
Then, design / build yourself or contract the work out.
